you always wondered about Voyageur’s National
Park, Are you a lover of the autumn breezes & the falling leaves? This is a PERFECT opportunity for you to come
up & join us for a weekend of relaxation.
(We are about 4 hours north of the Twin Cities area and it’s a
REALLY
EASY Drive). This retreat will be a low
key, relaxed weekend. We welcome you to
join us for as many activities or as few as you would like. We just ask that you stay a minimum of 2
nights at the resort. The weekend is
open to both men & women. There are
discounts available. Please note that
all treatments will need to be paid for separately at the time of
service to
the practitioner. Sessions will be going
on throughout the weekend. There
will be sign up sheets in the lodge for therapies; these sheets will be
available throughout the weekend.

Thursday

& the area of Voyageur’s National Park (Weather permitting)

p.m. Yoga
Nidra
(Heather); cost is $5 per person; Yoga Nidra is an ancient practice of
deep relaxation. This practice is
beneficial for pain
management, stress reduction and deep reflection. Also
known as “Yoga Sleep” this practice will
begin with some slow gentle movements to unwind the body & will
progress to
breathing exercises to center the mind.
The majority of the class will consist of deep guided relaxation
in
which participants’ minds are walked through a systematic set of mental
exercises, sequenced to stimulate specific parts of the brain to bring
a state
of deep relaxation. A great way to end
the day! This is an all levels class
& beginners are welcome.
*Private
yoga sessions will be available by Heather throughout the weekend at an
additional fee.
Friday
September 26, 2008: Healers
will get started on therapies
on Friday. There will be introduction
talks about the various sessions on Saturday, if you have questions
about what
something is, we are willing to explain the therapies throughout the
weekend.

& Shine Yoga (Heather);
Cost is $5 per person; Wake up your body & mind in this morning
Hatha Yoga
session. The class includes pranayama
(breathing exercises), an asana sequence & relaxation.
It is a flow class designed to integrate
breath & movement to bring greater awareness & center the mind
as well
as improve circulation, strength & flexibility.
This class is best practiced on an empty
stomach and is an all levels class; beginners are welcome.

Medicine Trail Plant Identification Walk – With Gigi Stafne; Cost

Northwood’s trail opens up a plethora of plants…from medicinal to wild
edibles. Learn with a Master Herbalist
how to ID various plants along the winding trail, discovering
historical &
cultural uses. Earth Healing, plant
preservation & eco ethics will be woven through this Medicine Walk! Your instructor is the recipient of the 2007
North American Plant Conservation Award… and she will share with you
some of
her personal insights about our Green Allies & our relationship
with them
into the future.
