Weddings, Anniversaries & Reunions

Consider having it in "God's Country" and make Northern Lights Resort exclusively yours in the spring or fall for your wedding party, family or group. Catered services can be arranged at an area community center a short distance from the resort.

Weekly Events (Free to Guests)

Saturday nights – 6-8 p.m. Burger & Brat Night for Charity Donations

We are hosting a burger & brat night for charity! This event will benefit organizations that have helped Northern Lights guests. The food is free- although we ask for a small donation for charity. The first cause will be for Breast Cancer in the name of one of our guests who is a breast cancer survivor. It is also a great way to unwind after the travel & to meet the other guests!

Sunday nights – 7-8 p.m. Ice Cream Social

There will be an ice cream social for the guests of the resort in the Aurora Room. This is a great way to top off your Sunday evening meal! Come on down to make an ice cream Sundae with your choice of toppings!

Monday – 9-11 a.m. Ladies Pontoon Cruise

Monday mornings, it’s all about the Ladies! Ladies, kick back & let your guys watch the kids for a while. Take a relaxing pontoon cruise over to the Ellsworth Rock Gardens. The cruise departs from the dock at 9 a.m. & returns about 11 a.m. Coffee & pastries will be served for the cruise participants! **Please note this is weather permitting.

Monday – 2:30-4:00 Youth Quest Activities
Wednesday – 2:30 – 4:00 p.m. Youth Quest Activities

Kids come & join in the fun of the youth quest activities. Activities have ranged over the years from Arts & Crafts programs, nature hikes, kayak lessons, scavenger hunts, minnow races, magic tricks, orienteering course. It’s a great way to meet some of the other kids that are at the resort for the week!

Thursday Nights – Adult Vintage Wood Boat Cruise 7 p.m.
This night is a fun night for adults at the resort. It’s a relaxing cruise on a vintage wood boat that has been restored. The cruise goes around a portion of the lake you are welcome to bring a beverage of your choice on this wonderful cruise. *** Please note this is weather permitting

Other Events:

• On every Sunny day on the deck in front of the Aurora room at 5 pm, it is a "5 o clock somewhere deck" so stop by with your favorite and socialize! 

Fun Activities for our Guests!

Some major pieces have been added:

Tthe "Tower" with climbing wall, slide and a 20' launch. A new aqua log has also been added to the aqua trampoline. Even on the cool days the kids run from the sauna on the dock to the floating water park. We love to see 'em happy. Note to June Guests: The water equipment is launched based on safe water temperature & weather.

Horse Back Riding Lessons

Special Offer for Northern Lights Guests

Horse riding lessons in an indoor arena! This beautiful facility is located 30 miles from Northern Lights and the cost is only $25 per hour. We the owners (and especially our granddaughter who will be taking lessons) of Northern Lights are really pleased to offer this special treat to the guests of Northern Lights.

The quality of the stables is impressive and we are proud to have the opportunity to share this with our guests. Plan to include this activity while you are at Northern Lights Resort. Call ahead as the lessons have to be coordinated around the schedule of the trainer. This opportunity and the cost at $25/hr is a very unique opportunity. Guests can make lesson reservations when they arrive at the resort. Lessons will be given during the weekdays Monday - Friday. New in 2009, Kids Fort - "The Cave" with look out tower and fireman’s pole.
Bug-proof and available for sleepovers (3)! Just ask and we'll provide sleeping bages with clean liners. Dads or moms, a time to bond with the kids.
