Access to Northern Lights by car is via excellent highways, about 4 ½ hours from Minneapolis or by air to International Falls, Minnesota. The easy highway route and directions are detailed below.

If you drive at night, watch for deer. During the day light hours, wolf, bear and moose sightings are not unusual. Approximately 200 bear live in Voyageurs National Park.

From the South:

• Follow Hwy 35 North to Hwy 33 (at Cloquet).
• Take 33 to Hwy 53 (about 19 miles).
• Continue on 53 until about 30 miles north of Orr.
• Turn right (heading North) on County Road 122 (right after the Gas Station).
• After about 2.5 miles, 122 turns to the left - follow 122. Continue on 122 for another 2.4 miles.
• Take a right onto Northern Lights Road. Follow the road and the signs to your vacation destination!
